About this release
Outer Heaven Sound's second release brings Effra, Outer Heaven, Jay B and Artilect together around deep drum and bass with a strong jungle influence. Effra's The Vault opens with rough textures and forceful rhythm, before Outer Heaven's Bring It moves into a more agile stepping pattern. Jay B puts the breakwork further forward on The Walk, while Artilect closes with the more restrained atmosphere of Nyra. The sequence keeps weight and space in balance, giving the bass room beneath detailed drums. Each track comes from its credited artist, connecting four approaches to the Coventry label's minimal, sound-system-focused direction.
