Ploy - Unit 18

Ploy dedicates Unit 18 to Venue MOT Unit 18 in Bermondsey, the South London home of his Deaf Test label’s club nights. The three tracks were shaped by that room and its parties, drawing on sound-system culture and different moments of an early-hours session. 'Stinky' and 'Ninety One' share the first side, with 'Unit 18' on the reverse. Rather than treating the club night and studio work as separate activities, the EP documents their close relationship: productions made with a particular space, crowd and atmosphere in mind, released through the same platform that hosts those gatherings.
