Georgie Sweet - All That We Were

Sublime soulfulness from Georgie Sweet, the Bournemouth-born, Brighton-based singer/songwriter tipped by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Jazz FM's Tony Minvielle for big things with a track taken from the 'I Swear To You' long player.

On this collaboration with First Word Records Sweet's heavenly voice is very much at the centre of 'All That We Were', with dazzling close harmony work gliding gracefully across a laid back groove that slopes along in nicely lazy fashion. This release from the ever reliable Mukatsuku label gives DJs extra flexibility with a flipside version that eases the lead lines out but leaves the groove and the soothing backing vocals intact. Sweet, in more ways than one.
