About this release
Mount Kimbie’s fabric presents selection reflects a renewed focus on club music, pairing their own Monroe and Jomox with records from the duo’s DJ sets. Monroe builds through loose percussion, driving synthesizers and drifting vocal fragments, drawing a connection to their earlier track Marilyn. Across the double vinyl, Malin Genie, Morgan Louis and SU01 sit alongside Charles Edward, DJ Shufflemaster and The Vision. The selection moves through house and techno while retaining the atmospheric detail associated with Mount Kimbie, bringing together original productions and the wider musical context of their recent club appearances.
