About this release
Tourist is St Germain's enduring meeting point between jazz musicianship and electronic groove. Originally released in 2000, Ludovic Navarre's album combines live instrumental detail with loops, samples and the steady pulse of house music, creating a sound equally suited to a dancefloor or an unhurried home listen.
Rose Rouge and So Flute are the immediate draws, while the blues-soaked Sure Thing and the spacious Montego Bay Spleen show the range of the record. This remastered double vinyl edition presents all nine tracks in a gatefold sleeve, with the album's jazz, blues and deep-house elements given room to unfold.
