About this release
Terry Francis follows his Digitec album with two further archive recordings on Sushitech. Funky Future takes the first side, combining a dry, driving rhythm with dub weight and a circling vocal phrase. Bonjour Charles shifts towards a looser swing on the reverse, keeping its low end prominent within a pared-back arrangement. Both tracks are remastered for this release and reflect the stripped, dubwise approach associated with Francis' London sets. The two extended cuts connect the warmth of house with the tight percussion and controlled movement of his tech-house production.
