About this release
Defected Classics 1 collects twelve tracks across three records, opening with Kings Of Tomorrow and Julie McKnight’s Finally in its Original Extended Mix. Solomun’s version of Around sits alongside Hallelujah Anyway, Need In Me, At Night and Guitarra G. Later sides bring together Louie Vega & The Martinez Brothers, Tensnake and The Vision before Ron Hall & The MuthaFunkaz’ The Way You Love Me in Dimitri From Paris’ T.S.O.P. version. ATFC’s Bad Habit and Copyright’s He Is complete the selection. The collection connects vocal house with disco-rooted productions and the remixes that became part of Defected’s identity.
