About this release
Demi Riquísimo’s ‘Perilous Joy EP’ moves between direct club tracks, progressive house and a slower Balearic close. ‘Sinewinder’ opens with a big-room vocal character, followed by the deeper bass-led ‘Direct Fix’. On the reverse, the title track looks towards the dreamier side of Italian progressive house, while ‘Thyme After Time’ develops a more psychedelic mood. ‘Autoglide’ reduces the pace to finish the record. Released on his own Semi Delicious imprint, the five-track 12-inch places two tracks on the A-side and three on the reverse, reflecting the producer’s range across different dancefloor tempos.
