About this release
The Oceans' Bad Guy, Good Guy joins buoyant synthesizers, guitar riffs and vocal harmonies in an early-1980s disco and boogie recording. Originally circulated on a white label stamped Pacific Dream, it returns on Record Shack's licensed, remastered twelve-inch reissue. The vocal recording occupies the first side, while Synth Good Guy presents the instrumental on the reverse, bringing the synthesizer playing and rhythm arrangement into focus. This two-track release preserves the pairing associated with Pacific Dream, connecting jazz-funk touches with a melodic disco groove and giving the vocal and instrumental versions room on separate sides.
