About this release
Step Up marks the twentieth release on Demi Riquísimo’s Semi Delicious label with four tracks from Leeds producer Kepler. The title cut combines sub-bass, percussion and acid lines with progressive chord hooks. Swoon follows with an FM-bass lead, clipped vocal fragments and softer pads, giving the A-side a different balance of rhythm and atmosphere. On the reverse, Acid Flow centres on 303-style leads and smooth bass, before Separation closes with swing and chord stabs informed by US house. The EP brings those influences into Kepler’s UK tech-house approach, maintaining a clear club focus across both sides.
