Good Block - Naiad / Dryad

Good Block’s third release of original material explores ambient dub through four tracks mixed live on the console. 'Naiad' draws on the digi-dub language of mid-1990s labels such as Dubhead and Lion Claw, then returns in a more spacious alternative mix. 'Dryad' combines slap bass with a heavier dub framework; its alternative version removes that bass part and gives distant flute samples more room. Written, produced and mixed by the duo, the record treats each version as a separate pass through the material, using the mixing desk as an active part of the performance.
