About this release
Razor-N-Tape marks the 25th anniversary of Alistair Colling and Tortured Soul’s When You Find Your Love…Hold On, featuring Sabina Sciubba’s vocal. The song began with a Colling demo signed to Central Park Recordings; John-Christian Urich wrote the vocal and brought in Sciubba to sing it. This edition brings the remastered original and Jon Cutler’s Distant Music Mix together with new interpretations by DJ Spinna and musclecars. The release links the song’s New York deep house origins with producers working in that tradition today, keeping its vocal at the centre while giving each mix room for a different rhythmic and musical approach.
