About this release
Another Taste’s self-titled debut brings the Rotterdam group’s live approach to boogie, funk and disco onto Space Grapes. Formed by longtime friends Bobby van Putten, Bob Roche, Barend Lippens and Teun van Zoggel, the band developed its sound through studio sessions with co-producer Danilo Plessow. The six-track album moves from Turn Up and It Takes Time to Anything You Want, featuring Sarina Voorn, before Mad Honey Theme, Time Is On Our Side and Perfect Night on the flip. Inspired by the independent spirit of late-1970s and 1980s private-press records, the songs turn those influences into the group’s own ensemble sound. This is the repress edition.
