Boogie Down Productions - Poetry / 9mm Goes Bang

Boogie Down Productions pair ‘Poetry’ with ‘My 9mm Goes Bang’ on this B-Boy Records seven-inch. KRS-One’s early recordings capture two sides of the group’s approach, from ‘Poetry’s’ rhythmic phrasing to the narrative delivery of ‘My 9mm Goes Bang’. The beat from ‘Poetry’ later became part of MF DOOM’s ‘Doomsday’, linking this early material to another chapter of New York rap. This edition brings the original mixes together, remastered for 2024 and housed in the B-Boy label and sleeve designs.
