About this release
Disques Messager opens its catalogue with two recordings by Brazilian singer and composer Cristina Camargo. Moral Tem Hora comes from her self-titled 1980 album, produced by Robson Jorge and Lincoln Olivetti. Written by Marcos and Paulo Sérgio Valle, the song reflects the meeting of Brazilian pop, disco and boogie at the time. Minas Do Rei Salomão, on the reverse, was drawn from Camargo’s second album, Santa Maravilha, released in 1981. Slap bass, airy keyboards and her vocal give that selection a gentler feel. This officially reissued seven-inch brings songs from both albums together as a two-sided introduction to her brief recording career.
