About this release
Secret Life brings Fred again.. and Brian Eno together for an eleven-track ambient album on Text Records. Produced by Eno and Fred Gibson between April 2020 and December 2022, the record places their collaboration in a quieter setting than Fred’s club-oriented releases. I Saw You opens a sequence that includes Secret, Radio and Enough before moving through Safety, Trying and the closing Come On Home. Kieran Hebden handled mastering, with the vinyl lacquer cut by Bernie Grundman. Released in 2023 through Hebden’s label, the album presents the two musicians’ shared work as a complete full-length programme.
