About this release
Philadelphia International pairs two Jean Carn recordings on this twelve-inch reissue. Was That All It Was brings her gospel-informed vocal delivery into a disco arrangement, while Don’t Let It Go To Your Head occupies the reverse with a song that has travelled through later soul and lovers rock interpretations. The two sides offer different settings for Carn’s voice, keeping the original recordings together as a two-sided single. Reissued under catalogue number PR65005P, the record provides a focused introduction to two songs associated with her Philadelphia International years.
