John Rocca - I Want It To Be Real (Remixes)

South Street revisits John Rocca’s 'I Want It To Be Real' with a Late Nite Tuff Guy edit and Farley’s Hot House Piano Mix. Rocca, known for his work with Freeez, first released the song in 1984, combining synth lines, bass, gated drums and vocals in an electro-influenced dance recording. This 12-inch places a later edit beside the remastered 1987 Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk treatment, connecting the song to Chicago house through its piano-led remix. With one version on each side, the release traces two approaches to a track that travelled beyond its original setting.
