About this release
Larry Nozero’s ‘Time’ was the final album issued by Detroit’s Strata Inc. label in 1975. Working with pianist and collaborator Dennis Tini, Nozero moves between melodic jazz, funk-driven pieces and more open arrangements. Tini’s ‘Tune For L.N.’ centres on rhythm, while wordless vocals create a counterpoint to the reeds in ‘Chronicle Of The Murdered House Part 2’. The programme also includes the standards ‘All The Things You Are’ and ‘Baubles, Bangles & Beads’, alongside ‘Tony’ and ‘Two Worlds’. BBE Music and 180 Proof return the nine-track album to vinyl in a remastered double-LP edition, with restored artwork and additional photographs.
