About this release
New York duo musclecars explore joy, loss, intimacy and perseverance on their debut album ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea!’. Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield build on their Coloring Lessons parties and club experience, using thirteen pieces to reflect on Black life and the world around them. Soulful and deep house sit alongside jazz and soul influences, with guest contributions from Kamaal, Natalie Greffel, Aden, Toribio and New Past. The programme brings together songs, extended dance tracks and interludes, including ‘Tonight’, ‘Running Out Of Time’, ‘Ha Ya! (Eternal Life)’ and ‘There’s Space For Us All’. BBE Music presents the album across two vinyl records.
