About this release
Love Vibration turns the spotlight on the solo recordings of Nkono Teles, the Cameroonian-born producer and keyboard player who became a major presence in Nigerian music. His work behind the scenes included production and arrangements for Steve Monite’s Only You, alongside collaborations with artists such as King Sunny Adé and Dizzy K. This Soundway collection focuses on his own electronic boogie and funk, bringing drum machines, guitars and synthesizers into the foreground. Six remastered selections, including Martin Street Special and Love Got A Hold Of Me, reveal another side of a widely heard but less visibly credited musician.
