About this release
South African singer and writer Sio works with producer Daev Martian on ‘Sarang / 사랑’, an eleven-track album centred on love, vulnerability and personal storytelling. Her sung vocals and spoken-word passages move through soul and R&B arrangements, with ‘No Lymyt’ bringing neo-soul into an amapiano setting. ‘Twilight’ reflects on life’s journey and legacy, while two ‘Hey Lover’ interludes connect with the closing song of the same name. Written by Siobhan Lulama King and Dave Shane Moyo, the album is mastered by Chymamusique. The vinyl programme runs from ‘Speak With It’ to ‘Hey Lover’, preserving all eleven pieces across two sides.
