About this release
Wall of Voodoo’s self-titled 1980 debut places Stan Ridgway’s vocals against guitars, electronics and drum-machine rhythms. The six-track mini-album includes ‘Longarm’, ‘The Passenger’ and the band’s interpretation of Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring Of Fire’, with ‘Can’t Make Love’, ‘Struggle’ and ‘Granma’s House’ completing the programme. Emerging from the Los Angeles new wave and post-punk scene, the group brought a cinematic sensibility to its songs and arrangements. Jackpot’s edition is remastered by Jim Hill, the original studio engineer, and retains the 1980 artwork. Pressed on black-and-white swirled marbled vinyl, it includes a 24-by-24-inch poster and lyric/liner insert.
Format: 12" black-and-white swirled marbled vinyl, 24" x 24" poster and lyric/liner insert
