About this release
Kuomboka captures WITCH's move into boogie, soul and disco following their earlier Zamrock recordings. Originally released in 1984, the album features Patrick Chisembele on lead vocals and was recorded at Shed Studios in Harare after the Zambian group relocated to Zimbabwe. Erotic Delight sets the tone with crisp drums, keyboards and a rolling bass groove, while the closing Jah Let The Sunshine brings in a reggae feel. The title refers to the Lozi migration ceremony on the Zambezi floodplains. Sharp-Flat's reissue draws on the analogue master tapes and reproduces the original sleeve artwork, presenting the eight-track album on one LP.
