About this release
Prayer features Rev F. L. Brown across four Kerri Chandler arrangements on Kaoz Theory. The Media Vocal opens with choppy bass stabs, piano and shuffled drum-machine rhythms, followed by the Media Instrumental. On the reverse, the 623 Again Vocal moves into a more dub-influenced setting, with insistent stabs, a driving beat and weighty low end. The Feel Mix closes with a sparer combination of drums, airy chords and bass. The twelve-inch connects the song's gospel-house vocal element with different rhythmic treatments, pairing the main vocal and instrumental on the first side and two further mixes on the second.
