About this release
Touch Me In The Morning brings Marlena Shaw's interpretation of the Diana Ross song together with Shaw Biz / Suddenly (It's How I Like To Feel). The A-side develops a story of separation through Shaw's expressive singing, framed by strings, horns and a disco arrangement. The reverse takes a slower pace, moving from reflections on success and loneliness towards the possibility of love. Across the pairing, Shaw's vocals connect two different moods, from the sustained dancefloor rhythm of the first side to the more intimate delivery of the second. Columbia's official remastered reissue presents both recordings on 12-inch vinyl.
