About this release
Afro-Rock is Argentine keyboardist Luis Vecchio's debut album, recorded for the Music De Wolfe library. Brass, bass, flute, organ and hand percussion shape a Latin-influenced funk-rock setting across ten tracks. Megaton opens with a full ensemble arrangement, followed by Renegade and Facade; Chabati and Green Hell complete the first half of the sequence. The music keeps its rhythm-section focus through Boss, Nsambei and Waboco before Cult and Ngoma-Ku close the record. Be With Records' LP reissue presents the complete album, with the keyboard and horn writing connecting the individual pieces.
